What is the Ticket to Work Program?
The Ticket to Work Program is one of the many work incentives offered by the Social Security Administration. The program is voluntary and is designed to provide assistance, such as training, job preparation, job leads and/or referrals, and other work-related supports to individuals with disabilities who qualify for the Ticket to Work program and who want to work.
Am I eligible to participate in Ticket to Work?
If you are between the ages of 18 and 64 and currently receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) payments and/or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) disability benefits, you are eligible to participate. Ticket to Work is a great program for you if you are committed to trying to work, are employed or ready to become employed, and want to begin working towards financial independence.
Is there a charge for these services?
There is no cost to you for the services we provide.
What is an Employment Network (EN)?
An Employment Network is an organization that has agreed to work with Social Security to provide employment services and other support to Ticket Holders. Alliance Professional Services, LLC is an Employment Network.
What is the purpose of the Ticket to Work Program?
The purpose of the program is to provide free assistance to Ticket Holders who want to work. The assistance may be provided to Ticket Holders who are looking for work, as well as those who are currently working and still eligible for the program. Our goal is to help you prepare for, find, and maintain employment that will eventually lead to self-sufficiency and the elimination of the dependence on SSI and SSDI cash payments. In addition, once you are employed we want to provide support to help you keep your job and prepare for and land a better job or obtain promotions with your current employer, if you desire.

- Medical coverage can continue for up to 93 months (7 years, 9 months) after your cash benefits have ended, if needed.
- If you make Timely Progress under the Ticket program, you are exempt from Continuing Disability Reviews (CDR).
- There is no penalty if you try to work and your work attempt is unsuccessful.
- Other financial incentives may be available to you based on your income, assets, and work-related needs and expenses.
- Career Coaches at Alliance can work one-on-one with you to determine which work incentives are available to you, how working could impact your benefits, and assist with reinstatement of benefits, when needed.
What if my cash benefits stop due to my earnings from work and I am later unable to continue working?
You have safety nets available to help you, even after your cash benefits have stopped.
If your benefits ended because of your earnings and you are no longer able to work, we can assist you in making a request for your benefits to be re-started without the need for a new application for disability. This safety net is available for several years after your cash benefits stop.
